/files/Website images/greg_small.jpgMy name is Greg Nanigian and I am the founder of Abundant Life Race Charity. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping fund mission and humanitarian aid trips through our local church, Church of Abundant Life, located in Braintree, Massachusetts.  Last year we were able to help fund trips to work with orphans in Uganda, East Africa and Chennai, India.

I began racing nine years ago as an owner/driver.  As I worked my way up through various NASCAR divisions, I realized that I was becoming obsessed with the sport.  In 2004 I decided to stop racing, realizing that I had more constructive uses for my resources and would prefer to spend my time and money helping others.

Several friends of mine from Church of Abundant Life encouraged me to get back into racing.  I thought and prayed on it for several months.  I believe God then put it in my heart to start the Abundant Life Race Charity. This was what I had been looking for; a way to take my resources and my gift for racing and use it to help others.  So in 2006, with the support of Pastor Ron Ray and a group of people from my church, I started the ALRC.  Our purpose is to raise money through sponsorship and donations to support mission trips.  100% of the money raised through this effort goes to support mission trips. To do this we race a Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Pro-Stock division at Thompson Speedway in Thompson, Connecticut.

The Abundant Life Race Charity is growing, but it remains an all volunteer ministry.  In addition to the Crew, we now have a staff of six men and women who are helping to populate our website and raise awareness.  We have several sponsors who believe in our cause and are developing our web site and printed materials at no charge.

We have already been able to do so much in such a short time. Helping to fund last years mission trip to Uganda and to help the orphaned and homeless children of Chennai, has been an amazing blessing to all of us at ARLC.
Sometimes when I get home at night and think about it, I'm overwhelmed by the needs of these children.  But the need does not stop there; it's in St. Petersburg, Russia, Chiang Mai, Thailand and Chennai, South India.  So plans are in the works for missions trips to these locations to help even more children in need.

This year when I strap on the five point safety harness and press the starter button on the dash board my purpose is much more than to go around the track really fast!  I need warriors with big hearts to do that.  I want you to join me in this cause and invite you to join me at the track as well.  If you would like more information about ALRC, please visit our website at
